Name of Russia, which began to use at the end of XV century, comes from the Greek name Rus Rhos. Thus, Russia is as much as “Rus.” [1] While the etymology of expression Russia seems obvious, the origin of the word Rus raises some controversy. In the history of wywodzono her name from the ancient tribe Roksolanów (Sz hypothesis. Zimorowica), or from the word “rossieja” which means “on the ground, far away” (M. Stryjkowski hypothesis). Contemporary language is derived mostly from the name Rus ugrofińskiego word “Ruotsi”, which means “the inhabitants of the coast”, “brzeżanie.” Finns today called for the Swedes as well, from which the word can take over.
